How to Detox Part III


What to Eliminate

For the duration of the detox, eliminate dairy (milk, yogurt, cheese), wheat (bread, pasta, crackers), concentrated sugar (candy, cakes, sweets, and sweetened beverages), processed and packaged foods, caffeine, alcohol.

Tips

  • Some foods can be prepared in advance and frozen or left in the refrigerator if eaten within 3 days. Stevia and limited amounts of agave nectar may be used as a sweetener if desired. Also, limited amounts of dark chocolate are allowed.

Menu Examples:

  • Breakfast: gluten free steel cut oats with nuts, agave nectar and almond milk

  • Lunch: kale salad and spicy lentil soup

  • Snack:flax seed crackers and hummus

  • Dinner: stir-fried chicken and vegetables over small portion of brown rice

Well I'm excited to get this detox started on Monday. I plan to buy groceries this weekend and prepare some foods in advance. Stay tuned to see what I'll be preparing this weekend!
